Earlier served at I.I.T Madras and NITTTR, Chandigarh for more than 3 decades. Prior to his appointment as Director - ASC, he has served as Professor & Head, Mechanical Engineering Department, Dean, Centre for Industry-Institute Interaction and Registrar in VIT. He is also working as Principal for the Part-Time programmes at VIT, Vellore. He has developed many need based instructional materials [print & non- print], conducted several training programmes for industry personnel and has successfully executed many funded projects. He was an UNESCO Fellow at Ohio State University, U.S.A., and was also a Visiting Professor in Brigham Young University, U.S.A. & University Technology, Malaysia.
