Apurv Agrawal, the brain behind NgoFuel, awarded as top 30 startups of India 2010

by NEN(National Entrepreneurship Network), is also a board member of ‘lets graduate'.

A techno freak, pursuing his B-Tech in IT from VIT Apurv can aptly be called one of

the budding magnates of India whose creation “NgoFuel” has not only facilitated a

number of NGO’s to maintain their noble work in this rising inflation but also

benefited a lot of volunteers to learn as well as apply it in the real business world.

Apurv is basically from Noida and is the son of Mr Satan Lal and Mrs. Indu Agrawal.

His sister Aditi who is also one the co-founder of Ngofuel, studies in Lady Sriram
College, Delhi. Apurv who never
considered himself as a great scholar was an average getter in school but had extra innovative thinking skills

which paved the way for him. It was the same Newtonic effect of sitting and thinking randomly in one of his

college classes about different ways in which he could serve this society, he came with a brilliant idea which

sparked the birth of NgoFuel on 21st September 2010. But the road to success was not devoid of hurdles and

setbacks. Apart from a from a lack of proper financial management plans for their marketing, they faced a dearth of dedicated

volunteers in VIT but with perseverance and strategic planning things finally fell into place.

Apurv has also worked with Morvo Corp which has built a number of software programs for many clients including Café De Pacific,

Balaji stores. Apurv says he looks at every task as a problem and gathers information about it,

as he believes information is always the key to finding a solution. He is a self-motivated guy

but also thanks his mentor Professor P Karthikeyan, VIT Administration and his family for

their support. Incepting their way with eminent NGOs like Bhoomi, Chennai and Sisters of the

People, Delhi; NgoFuel has come a long way in the past few months.

It is a non-profitable organization founded by Apurv and some of his friends namely Aditi,

Saswata, Sriram, Naveen, Vishnupriya, Kanika, Shreyas, Siddharth, Ankur, Amit and Naren

which serves as a free provider of web site domains, posters and other types of web based

publicities to various NGO’s which are not capable of paying money in buckets. Apart from

Apart from generating social awareness, NgoFuel renders real world working

environment to its interns. From a one on one interaction with market bigwigs to

the exposure of our fragile market, this farm eulogizes its way through the corporate

field. They have future plans of landing the spectrum of noble cause in VIT by means

workshops, apart from the fact that they will offer internships and certificates to the

students to boost their resume. This organization has just developed a revenue based model

so as to stand firm in this competitive socio-technical platform but still provides services at a very subsidized rate and have added two

new features of nE spotlight and Photography in its expertise.

Starting with 10 members and 2 projects in hand, today this organization has reached international heights with 200 volunteers all over

world and 25 projects in hand and many more to go as it invites loads of willing interns and other NGO’s to expand the perimeter of

helping hands.
