Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the Post of JRFs (Junior Research Fellow) for the DST Funded Project in School of Bio Sciences & Technology.

Title of the Project: "Hexavalent Chromium detoxification by microbial isolates from a specific Chromium mining site and bioremediation application potential: A laboratory based study".

Qualification : : M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Applied Microbiology/ Environmental Chemistry

Stipend Rs. 12000/- per month, upgradable to Rs. 14,000/- per month in the third year as per existing DST rules and regulations

Research Associate

Applications are invited for the Post of Research Associate for DST funded project at School of Mechanical and Building Sciences (SMBS), V.I.T., Vellore

Title of the Project: "Fatigue and fracture studies of aluminum based fibre metal laminate (FML)"

Number of positions: One

Qualification and Experience: M.Tech. (First class) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Design or CAD/CAM. The candidate must have excellent knowledge and proven expertise of working on finite element softwares like ANSYS etc. Familiarity with C Programming shall be an advantage.

Job Requirement: The candidate shall be involved in finite element analysis of crack in fibre metal laminate, experimental work and preparation of technical reports and presentations.

Salary: Rs.17,700/-pm (Consolidated)

Period: Two years

Nature of appointment: Purely temporary. Initially appointment will be given for one year extendable to another year based on performance.

Age limitation: 32 years
