Time: 12 noon to 1 pm

  • The graduands are requested to follow the above mentioned time slots strictly.

  • Only graduands who register online will be allowed for the Convocation. Online registration will be available till 5 pm, 25th July 2012. Spot registration is not permitted.

  • The graduands and their families are requested to attend their particular sessions only.

  • The degree certificate will be mailed to the address in VIT’s records, within a month of Convocation to the graduands who are unable to attend the Convocation.

  • If you want the degree certificate to be mailed to a different address, please send a request email to Assistant Registrar (Academics), VIT Students Record Section at ara@vit.ac.in

  • Graduands can also collect the degree certificates by themselves or through a representative with an authorization letter from Assistant Registrar (Academics), VIT Students Record Section, 2nd Floor, Souvenir Shop Building, Phone No.: 0416-2202012 / 2122

Robe Charges

External agency’s charges for Convocation robe
Deposit    :  550/-
Deduction :  50/-
Refund     :  500/- (will be refunded upon on the return of the robe at Greeno)

Transport Facility

Bus facility will be available between the Campus, Chittoor bus stop and Katpadi railway station.

Trip Timings from Katpadi railway station to campus (28th & 29th July. ‘12):
8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 11.30 am, 12 noon, 1 pm & 1.30 pm.

Trip Timings from Chittoor bus stop to campus:
On 28th July ‘12- One trip every 20 minutes from 7.45 am to 9 am, 11.45 am to 1 pm & 2.15 pm to 3.30 pm.
On 29th July ‘12- One trip every 20 minutes from 8.15 am to 9.30 am & 11.45am to 1 pm.

Return trips will be organized from campus to Chittoor bus stop & Katpadi railway station after the Convocation (Session wise)

During the Convocation …

  1. This is a solemn ceremony. So strict silence needs to be maintained during the ceremony.
  2. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted.
  3. All mobile phones need to be completely switched off.
  4. Dress code: Formal - wear only (No T-Shirts / Jeans, please)
  5. Family members of the graduands are welcome to attend.
  6. No photography or videography is allowed in the Convocation hall, VIT will employ professional photographers & videographers. Photo & Video will be available later.

Accommodation

Limited dormitory accommodation on payment basis is available on a first-come-first-served-basis in Men’s & Women’s hostels.
