    ABOUT CommV'09

  • The Silver Jubilee Conference on Communication Technologies and VLSI Design (CommV’09) aims to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of Communication, Signal and Image Processing, Optical Communication, Microwave Communication, Photonics, Solid State Devices, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

     ABOUT SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL SCIENCES

  • School of Electrical Sciences (SES), was formed by merging three cognate Departments - Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, popularly known as the circuit branches. It has a 132 strong faculty of whom 16 are Ph.Ds and 58 are pursuing Ph.D. The student body of 2773 consists of the best of the student pool that VIT attracts. The School offers three B.Tech Programs (1) Electronics and Communication Engineering, (2) Electrical and Electronics Engineering and (3) Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and six M.Tech programs in (1) Automotive Electronics, (2) Communication Engineering, (3) Nanotechnology, (4) Power Electronics and Drives, (5) Sensor Systems Technology and (6) VLSI Design. The school offers a double degree programme in M. Tech Sensor System Technology with University of Applied Sciences, Karlsruhe, Germany under DAAD Scheme. The School also offers M.S. and Ph.D. programs in nearly 20 areas of specialization. All B.Tech. and four of the M.Tech. programs have been accredited by Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) U.K - formerly IEE.
