ICAMS 2017 aims to establish a premier International forum that brings together the Mathematicians, Engineers and Industrial experts to present the latest achievements and innovations in the areas of Mathematics to discuss thought-provoking developments and challenges, in order to select potential future directions. The major objective of the conference is to promote scientific and educational activities towards the advancement of common man's life by improving the theory and practice of various disciplines of Mathematics. The conference includes keynote address and invited talks by eminent invited speaker around the world, and oral presentation by participants.

About Us

VIT

VIT University was established with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards. It persistently seeks and adopts innovative methods to improve the quality of higher education on a consistent basis. The campus has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with students from all corners of the globe. Experienced and learned teachers are strongly encouraged to nurture the students. The global standards set at VIT in the field of teaching and research spur us on in our relentless pursuit of excellence. In fact, it has become a way of life for us. The highly motivated youngsters on the campus are a constant source of pride. Our Memoranda of Understanding with various international universities are our major strength. They provide for an exchange of students and faculty and encourage joint research projects for the mutual benefit of these universities. Many of our students, who pursue their research projects in foreign universities, bring high quality to their work and esteem to India and have done us proud. With steady steps, we continue our march forward. We look forward to meeting you here at VIT.

SAS, VIT

The School of Advanced Sciences (SAS) includes Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics divisions. The school offers M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in these disciplines. The faculty of the school comprises qualified and goal-oriented members whose research expertise include major frontier areas in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Currently, the faculty strength of the school is 186. In addition, the school benefits from the service of 30 non-teaching staff members. The curriculum keeps abreast of the latest advancements in the respective domains and endeavors to develop scientists of high quality. Graduates from the school are much sought-after by companies in India and many have secured admissions in prestigious institutions and companies abroad.

Department of Mathematics

Mathematics is an essential component of all engineering disciplines. The Mathematics department has 83 faculty members who support the other engineering departments through teaching and are also actively involved in academic research in different areas such as Algebra, Theoretical and Computational Fluid Dynamics, Mathematical modelling, Complex Analysis, Geometric Function Theory, Graph Theory, Stochastic Processes and Queuing Theory, Coding Theory and Theory of Computation, Fuzzy Logics, Optimal Control Problems and Numerical Methods. Several research projects of the department are financially supported by some of the leading funding agencies such as CSIR, DRDO, DST and MHRD. The department is also serving the requirements of the leading industries through consultancy projects.

SIAM-VIT

SIAM stands for Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. It is one of the most prestigious community where enthusiasts of mathematics and its applied applications can contribute, nurture and enhance their interests. Our mission is to build cooperation between mathematics and the world of science and technology through publications, research and community through membership activities, publications of journals, books and conferences.
SIAM in VIT aims at dispensing the required tools and knowledge for students to excel in fields of applied mathematics such as computational science, forensics, cryptography etc. It provides a bridge for students to apply the classroom knowledge to real world applications and push the boundaries of their curriculum to explore their field of interest through projects, research, industrial visits and internships. It is the only chapter in VIT that takes all the branches under its wings and therefore has a huge outreach.

Participants will come in team of 2. Each team will initially have set number of points under them, which they will use during the event. Each team will get programming questions for which they have to code. Then, they have to put their points on their code to check if it is running or not. If their code passes all the test cases for the corresponding questions, then in that case, they will earn twice the amount of points that they made, otherwise, if their code fails even one test case they will lose that many points.

  • Algebra
  • Analysis
  • Differential Equations
  • Geometry
  • Mechanics
  • Operational Research
  • Statistics
  • Graph Theory and combinatorics

These awards recognize the best conference papers presented at the International Conference on Advances in Mathematical Sciences (ICAMS). Best Paper Awards will be presented to authors whose work represents groundbreaking research in their respective areas. By recognizing these select papers for their ingenuity and importance, ICAMS highlights some of the theoretical innovations that are likely to shape the future of Mathematics. The author of an awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to a signed and stamped official award certificate.

Selection Criteria

During the paper submission, the interested candidates need to specify that the manuscript is submitted for ICAMS Best Paper Award. The decision criterion will consider both the paper quality and the oral presentation quality. Papers selected as candidates for best paper awards will be exclusively presented on December 2, 2017 during 16:30 to 18:30. The awards will be conferred to the author(s) of a paper presented at the conference, selected by the ICAMS Best Paper Award Committee.
