About LSHGD:

Welcome to LSHGD, The main focus of research on leprosy is to study the human immune system’s reaction to leprosy bacillus. Studies aiming to explore the involvement of host genetic factors to determine susceptibility to develop disease and individual’s response to the infection with M. leprae.To address this issue, we have developed a LSHGD database to integrate leprosy and human susceptible genes by profound literature search. This database contains comprehensive information of 45 candidate human genes susceptible to leprosy, which enables the user to retrieve information of their interest. This will serve as a user-friendly and interactive platform to understand the involvement of human polymorphisms in leprosy, independent genetic control over both susceptibility to leprosy and its association with multi-drug resistance of Mycobacterium leprae.
