Objectives
  • To understand basic chemical engineering principles such as material and energy balances, thermodynamics, momentum, heat and mass transfer; mechanical separation process and process systems engineering
  • To help students analyse problems, formulate solutions and design systems using appropriate scientific and engineering methodologies
  • To help students develop appreciation for societal, historical and global issues, as well as understand professional and ethical responsibilities towards society and environment
