M.TECH. STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING

This course aims at practical and research activities, besides offering testing and consultancy services to the community in the area of Structural Engineering.

OBJECTIVES

To produce structural engineers who integrate and build on the Program's core curricular concepts in the pursuit of professional leadership, teamwork, life-long learning, and career advancement.

Enhance postgraduate design expertise by offering curricular design experiences that include projects involving the professional community;

Laboratories

The school has seven well-equipped laboratories Strength of Materials, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Surveying, Fluid Mechanics, Meteorological and Environmental Engineering, besides a demonstration laboratory for Geology. The school has a full-fledged Structural Engineering Laboratory and a Structural Design Software Laboratory.

Computing Facilities

The school has full-fledged Software Laboratory for Analysis and Design of Structures by using different advanced softwares. Twenty-five systems have been connected to the University LAN. The laboratory has Internet facilities.

A number of software packages related to the field of Structural Engineering are available which includes the following.
