Where is the VIT-AP campus located?
   The campus is located at Inavolu, Amaravati which is about 2 km away from the AP secretariat.

When will the campus infrastructure be ready?
    Currently, the construction of Ground +2 floors in the Academic Block 1 is completed.

    The ground and first floors have classrooms, labs, computer centres, workshop, cafeteria, faculty and administrative
    offices. The second floor has the library. Free internet through WiFi is available on campus and in the hostels. The rest
    of the floors will be completed by the end of the year. More infrastructure will be added every year. The facilities will be
    as per AICTE norms.

    Note: Our classes will be conducted in our own building on our own campus.

Is the curriculum going to be on par with VIT, Vellore campus?
   Yes, the curriculum will be on par with our Vellore campus. In addition, Amaravati campus has a mandatory full semester
   co-op programme (internship). This will provide work experience to the students and boost their placement

What are the placement opportunities at VIT-AP?
   The placement service is centrally organized for all the campuses, therefore, the placement opportunities at the VIT-AP
   campus would be the same as that in the main Vellore campus. Most companies are expected to visit Amaravati
   campus for recruitment, however, there might be a few companies for which Vellore visit might be required. .

How would you describe VIT-AP’s International Relations?
   Our experience of running VIT for the past 33 years in Vellore is being put to full use at VIT-AP at Amaravati. Our
   partnerships with reputed foreign universities like Purdue and RIT would continue at VIT-AP, thereby benefitting the
   students to participate in programmes such as Semester Abroad Programme (SAP) with scholarships and 2+2 degree
   programme through International Transfer Programme (ITP). We would also get many of the professors from abroad
   through our partner universities to visit our Amaravati Campus to teach the students. The global VIT alumni network will
   be of immense help to the VIT-AP students.

Are ITP and SAP available at VIT-AP?
   International Transfer Program allows you to complete the second half of your programme at a reputed international
   university. Semester abroad programme lets you study one semester abroad. Both opportunities are available at VIT-AP
   based on the performance of the student.

Will CSE (Data Analytics) and CSE (Networking & Security) students be eligible for CSE jobs?
   Yes, they will be and will have the same placement opportunities.

Is the 2 + 2 ITP applicable to all branches at VIT-AP?
   Yes, it is applicable to all the branches at VIT-AP.

Where are the hostels situated?
   Currently, the hostels in Guntur are leased. The leased hostels are independent exclusive new buildings which are
   compounded and well protected. They have all the facilities required.

   We will be shifting the Men’s hostel to the campus before the next academic year. The following year, Women's hostel
   will be shifted.

How is the hostel room allotment done?
   The allotment is done based on the preference of your room type and availability. The rooms are allotted on a first-come
   first-serve basis, after payment of hostel fees.

What are the hostel facilities available?
   Each hostel room is furnished with a cot, chair, reading table and cupboard. Provision stores are located on the ground
   floor of the apartments where students can buy essentials such as mattresses, pillows, buckets, mugs, locks,
   stationeries, books, soaps.

   Apart from this, there is space for indoor games such as carrom and other board games. There will also be a gym in the
   hostel. Outdoor sports facilities like cricket ground, basketball and volleyball will be at the main campus. A reading room
   for students will also be provided in the hostels.

How far are the hostels located from the main campus?
   They are located around 23 km away from the main campus.

What transport facility is available for the students?
   New WiFi enabled and secure buses have been provided for the students.
   Hostellers: The transportation is free for hostellers.
   Day scholars: The Routes are based on the home locations of the day scholars.

What are the food options available to students in the hostels?
   The mess is arranged in the Ground floor of both Men’s and Women’s hostels.
   Lunch will be provided for all the hostellers in a dining hall on campus, close to the academic building. Canteen is also
   available for day scholars.

What are the facilities for sports and extra-curricular activities?
   There will be various sports, clubs, chapters and vibrant activities to enable holistic development at VIT-AP. Many will be
   student driven to develop Leadership skills in them and aid overall growth of the students.

   Chapters and clubs available in the first year include Debate Club, Dance Club, Dramatics Club, Photography Club.
   Moreover, provisions will be made for various indoor and outdoor sports like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball and Table-
   tennis, Gymnasiums, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Social Entrepreneurship Cell, IEEE, ISTE, ASME
   chapters and more.

How often are outings permitted?
   During weekends, outing permission will be given to hostellers.

Is there a health centre in case of any emergency?
   Yes, there will be health care centre and ambulance facility.
