Team Sammard competed in the CanSat competition 2018 organized by American Astronautical Society, U.S Naval Research Laboratory and co-sponsored by NASA Goddard. This competition was held at Tarleton State University in Texas, on June 2018.

Being the team's maiden appearance at the competition, they finished 1st in Asia and 18th in the world out of 105 teams.
